Cowgirl Dark 1864 Tavern {Styled Shoot}
Caitlin McAnich of Escape Reno asked me if I would provide florals for this Prohibition Tavern Styled Shoot idea she had. I thought, absolutely! That sounds fun! I'm not sure how floral worked into it, but by golly, we would make it happen. Tell me what and where and I’ll be there.
A week later Nicole at Sikora Events had taken this little idea and ran with it. She added in the dark moody elements that paired perfectly with 1864 Tavern. Of course, when I thought of the Florals, Dark Swartz Calla Lilies, Burgundy Ranunculi, Hearts Roses, and Burgundy Scabiosa came to mind.
A cow skull was mentioned and I was sold! How is this my life? This is the stuff floral dreams are made of!
As the day progressed and the wardrobe, hair, makeup, and jewelry came together it felt like I was pulling up a barstool with Dale Evans. My Cowgirl dreams were coming true!
The cake with the drips of gold and dark chocolate covering got me really excited. I really love poking holes into perfect white cakes. It’s not too often I see a dark cake! The dark moody florals were a perfect accent.
The woodgrain and Floral Design on these cookies were just superb. They were almost to pretty to eat. Almost.... These cookies were beautiful and yummy to bout!
